18th Century Public House With Cellar and Tunnels

18th Century coaching inn dating back to the 1700's. Lots of historical features, hidden tunnels and character.

Large quirky Beer Garden

Inn, now public house. Early C18. Random bond yellow brick, red brick quoins and
dressings; C20 tile roof; brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys; 5-window range.
Concrete lintel over paired sashes flanking C20 door. First floor has keyed
gauged brick semi-circular arches over early C18 sashes; string course at impost
level. Gabled roof; gable end stacks. Outshut of similar materials to rear. To
rear left is early C18 three-storey, 4-window range of Flemish bond brick with
flared headers, and with hipped old tile roof and brick ridge stack; segmental
arches over 2 second-floor and one first-floor early C18 sashes, 4 late C18
sashes and C20 door. To right of front is 3-storey cross wing of Flemish bond
yellow brick with red brick quoins and dressings; flat brick arches over mid C19
sashes and one early C18 sash to right. Interior: Chamfered and stopped beams to
ground floor.
