Auchindrain Township

Auchindrain is a complete small Scottish farming community that has been preserved, largely in its late 19th century form. It is now run as a museum by an independent charity. The fifteen upstanding buildings - houses, barns, etc - are set in a historical farming landscape. There is considerable scope for both indoor and outdoor location filming and photography.

The landscape and buildings of Auchindrain are the quintessence of traditional rural Scotland, and can be presented to offer any desired time-period from the early 19th century, and in some respects back to the 17th century. It is a unique, wide-lens, vista of indoors and outdoors.
