Lancashire Titanic Museum

A small volunteer run museum, telling the story of the Titanic disaster and it's many Lancashire Links.

Many of the most famous people involved with the disaster came from Lancashire, people like JB Ismay, managing director of the white star line, who survived the disaster, Wallace Hartley - the world famous band leader who kept playing to the end and Arthur Rostron, captain of the rescue ship "Carpathia" to name just a few.

Our range of artifacts includes china and silver ware, luggage, original furniture and fittings from Titanic's identical sister ship the Olympic and unique items from Captain Smith and Wallace Hartley themselves.

We have worked with many TV and film companies in the past and appeared extensively in the Yesterday (Colour TV) production "Titanic - the band played on".

Our museum curator is acknowledged as a leading expert in the Titanic field, being the founder of the British Titanic Society and a highly sought after Titanic lecturer and after dinner speaker.

There is much more to the museum than what can be written about here, and our close association with Bygone Times - one of the largest Antiques & Collectibles centers in the North of England, make us uniquely placed to serve as your one stop Titanic advisors.
