RSPB Bempton Cliffs Nature Reserve

The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs rises 400feet above the North Sea giving spectacular views along the East Yorkshire coast – towards Filey in the north and Flamborough Head in the south. Fields run alongside the cliff top path – some arable and some fallow, and the reserve also has a wildflower meadow, pond and bird feeding station.

Every year 250,000 breeding seabirds flock to the cliffs to raise their young, including puffins, gannets, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, fulmars and herring gulls. These thousands of seabirds create a unique atmosphere, fantastic for the right kind of film.
Out of season (September to February) the reserve provides a peaceful but still dramatic scenery.

The cliffs cannot be descended but boats can be hired to view them from the sea.
This location has been used in the past for several television programmes and a major feature film.
